Job Summary:
The Gift Processing Specialist is an integral part of the University Advancement team, having primary responsibility for receiving, recording, and receipting gifts to Texas Christian University.
Duties & Essential Job Functions:
1. Receives, processes and receipts gifts of various kinds as they come into the university through a variety of methods.
2. Verifies all pertinent information provided at the time the gift was made and make necessary record changes to the gift accounting system.
3. Records and maintains all pledges and recurring gifts as well as imaging support for these gift commitments.
4. Performs monthly reconciliation of gift records with entries into the general ledger.
5. Identifies companies that provide matching gifts to employees and maintains the verification process for obtaining these gifts.
6. Provides support to other areas of Advancement as necessary, including back-up as requested.
7. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Education & Experience:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.

• Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information.
