About This Future Opportunity
As we continue expanding our public sector footprint, we’re interested in connecting with experienced Government Sales professionals across multiple levels — from high-performing Account Executives to senior leaders who can build and scale a government sales organization.

What These Roles May Involve
Depending on level and scope, future Government Sales roles at Wonderschool may include:
Individual Contributor (Account Executive / Senior AE)
  • Owning full-cycle government sales within a territory
  • Navigating complex, multi-stakeholder, 12+ month sales cycles
  • Building relationships with legislators, agency leaders, and executive administration stakeholders
  • Developing territory strategies aligned to legislative, budget, and election cycles
  • Leading RFP responses and procurement processes
  • Traveling frequently (up to ~60%) to build in-person relationships
Sales Leadership (Director / Head of Government Sales)
  • Defining and executing the overall government sales strategy
  • Building and leading a high-performing public sector sales team
  • Managing pipeline forecasting, territory design, and performance metrics
  • Developing executive-level relationships with state and national decision-makers
  • Partnering cross-functionally with Product, Policy, Finance, and Implementation teams
  • Driving long-term revenue growth and public-sector expansion

What We’re Generally Looking For
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in complex sales environments
  • Experience in business-to-government (B2G) sales, public sector partnerships, or government policy
  • Deep understanding of procurement processes, RFP cycles, and legislative dynamics
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to align value propositions with political and programmatic priorities
  • Experience managing complex, enterprise-level sales cycles
  • For leadership roles: experience building, coaching, and scaling sales teams
  • High ownership mindset and comfort operating in ambiguity
  • Strong CRM discipline and forecasting capability

Compensation (Future Opportunities – California)
For future Government Sales roles based in California, compensation will vary based on level and scope.

Compensation structures may include:
  • Base salary
  • Performance-based variable compensation (commission and/or bonuses)
  • Potential equity participation

For reference, individual contributor roles have historically included base salaries in the range of approximately $150,000 – $250,000, with significant variable earning potential. Leadership roles may carry broader compensation bands based on scope and organizational responsibility.

Actual compensation will vary based on experience, level, territory complexity, and business needs at the time of hire.
