GPS Undergraduate Admissions Specialist (temporary/part-time) Full Description

General Summary of Position:
The GPS UG admissions operations team is seeking a part-time admissions specialist. This role is vital to supporting the needs of the UG admissions operations team through various administrative tasks, customer service, and student support. A strong desire to provide top-tier customer service is a must.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; answering phones, processing paperwork related to student applications, processing course registrations for non-matriculated students, entering transfer credit information, answering emails, and updating and maintaining student records.
New employees will be trained to gain a working knowledge of our Student Information System (SiS) and our available student services. They will also work with UMASS Lowell faculty, students, and staff and will handle confidential information.
Seeking a candidate that has outstanding phone and email etiquette and the ability to answer questions in a professional and timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
· HS diploma or GED/equivalent required, background in customer support
· Preference for those with previous higher education experience
· Must be proficient in MS office
Special instructions to applicants:
Initial review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. However, the position may close when an adequate number of qualified applicants are received.
This is an on-campus, part-time, non-benefited, non-unit position – 18 hours per week. The GPS office is open from 8:30 am-5 pm M-F. The ideal candidate will be available to work at least one shift each week until 5 pm.
