Job Description

The Graduate Admissions Specialist plays a crucial role in attracting and nurturing prospective medical students. You'll be at the forefront of the admissions process, connecting with potential students from inquiry to application. In this dynamic role, you'll: Become a medical school champion: Represent Ross University School of Medicine and American University of the Caribbean with enthusiasm, building relationships and generating interest from prospective students. Craft a seamless student journey: Guide potential students through the application process, answering their questions and providing exceptional customer service via phone calls, text messages, and email. Spark excitement for medical school: Collaborate across departments to develop and participate in engaging events and initiatives that attract top medical talent. Embrace continuous learning: Stay up-to-date on trends in medical education and contribute to ongoing process improvement strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate relationships with prospective medical students, building trust and fostering program interest.
  • Conduct outreach campaigns via calls, emails, interviews and webinars, exceeding Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Develop and execute contact strategies utilizing open-ended questioning to understand student needs.
  • Manage the medical student inquiry pipeline, nurturing leads and progressing them through the admissions funnel.
  • Support recruitment efforts by participating in events, building relationships with university pre-med advisors and personnel.
  • Analyze enrollment funnel data and KPIs to identify trends and optimize outreach strategies.
  • Contribute to building and maintaining a robust student pipeline through effective recruitment strategies.
  • Process and manage inquiries, ensuring accurate record-keeping and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Engage prospective students through open-ended questioning and clear communication to understand their needs and goals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree College degree in a relevant field (Communications, Marketing, Business, Education) Required.
  • 3+ years' Experience in Lead Generation or Student Recruitment Required.
  • 2+ years' Experience working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment Required.
  • Experience in the higher education industry Preferred.
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal) with a focus on active listening and open-ended questioning.
  • Relationship management expertise, fostering trust and rapport with prospective students and university partners.
  • Proficiency in outreach strategies including phone, email, and webinar execution.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with outreach strategies and enrollment funnel management.
  • Collaborative spirit, working effectively with colleagues across admissions and university relations.
  • Proactive and results-oriented, exceeding goals and driving student recruitment efforts.
  • Ability to travel to attend recruitment events.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $60,000.00 to $70,000.00. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
