POSITION SPECIFICS
The Bellisario College of Communications is in search of a Graduate Programs Coordinator (Academic Program Coordinator - Intermediate Support or Senior Support), to support the research and online graduate program needs of the Bellisario College of Communications.
This position will work closely with the Director of Master's of Professional Studies and Graduate Studies, and the Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Studies.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides administrative support to the associate deans for academic affairs that include processing documentation of faculty searches, promotion and tenure of tenure and non-tenure-line faculty, and sabbatical leave paperwork
  • Assists associate dean for research with managing grant active faculty and endowed chairs' annual travel itineraries, travel documentation, expense retirement and reimbursements, and with timely reconciliation processes via pertinent finance hubs
  • Serves as support staff for students, faculty, and administrators associated with the masters-focused programs run by the college including the master's admissions committee, updating the master's program handbook; processing non-tenure line faculty applications to teach with the Fox Graduate School, assisting the graduate programs office with processing course, curriculum, and program proposals with the Graduate Council, managing master's programs' web sites, and tracking alumni of master's programs
  • Serves as backup for the Executive Assistant to the Dean
  • Provides administrative support to other units within the Bellisario College as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

This applicant must be able to work independently as well as in a collaborative, team environment in a fast-paced office. Strong communication, organization and customer service skills and attention to detail are critical to success in this role. Experience with Microsoft Office is required. Familiarity with LionPath student system, SAP Concur, and other financial systems is preferred.
Education and Experience: Experience with and or ability/willingness to learn student, financial, employee, and reporting information systems such as SAP Concur (travel and expense reporting system), PSUBuy (Penn State's shopping portal), 25Live (room reservation system), and LionPath (student portal).
