Graduate Recruitment Specialist Full Description

Position Summary:

The Graduate Recruitment Specialist supports the enrollment goals of NYU Tandon’s master’s and doctoral programs by identifying, engaging, and nurturing prospective students from initial inquiry through enrollment. This role focuses on proactive outreach, relationship building, virtual and in-person engagement, and the coordination of recruitment initiatives focused primarily on domestic markets. Additionally, this role plays a key part in the initial review and processing of applications and oversight of the application workflow. This includes but is not restricted to, supervision and management of graduate student employees in specific areas of the review process including data entry, creating and maintaining regular enrollment reports, as well as ad hoc reports as requested. Responsible for ensuring accuracy and integrity of all data held by the Office of Graduate Enrollment Management and Admissions using expertise in Slate (by Technolutions) and PeopleSoft. The Graduate Recruitment Specialist will work from within NYU Tandon's Graduate Enrollment Management team, and will collaborate with academic departments, and university partners to promote Tandon’s portfolio of MS and PhD programs and ensure a high-quality experience for all prospective students.

Qualifications:

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related area

Required Experience:
3+ years experience with higher education administration and admissions/enrollment management experience, supervision and/or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Experience:
2+ years experience recruiting for STEM or engineering programs. Experience managing virtual events and webinars. Familiarity with higher education enrollment trends and best practices. Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and global audiences.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Demonstrated experience using Slate CRM for communications, event management, data tracking, etc. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort presenting to groups virtually and in-person. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Ability to work independently in a remote/virtual environment. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed for recruitment and yield activities.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
This position is remote and will require travel for recruitment fairs, conferences, and other strategic outreach initiatives. Some evening or early-morning hours and weekends, will be required to support global engagement and virtual events across time zones.

Additional Information:

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $82,500.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
