Overview
PowerSchool is seeking a Growth Strategy Manager to partner with Sales Leaders to review data, identify opportunities for efficiency and growth. This individual will contribute to the Sales Operations team by partnering with Sales Leaders to ensure each team member has the training, tools, and processes needed to increase sales and improve efficiency.
Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities
Guides sales teams/leadership on sales strategies for opportunity management (e.g., up-sell, cross-sell) as a subject matter expert. Defines accountabilities and operationalizes the prioritized sales-plays to generate new business and accelerates the closing of existing opportunities.
Identify and build growth opportunities by:
- Assessing and building data-driven recommendations for pipeline growth, forecasting accuracy, and increased bookings
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing, Services, Support, Product and Customer Success to build and prioritize initiatives that will create top of the funnel pipeline and drive new sales, cross-sells, and upsells
- Working with the Growth Strategy team to discuss potential changes to the sales strategy, resources, and priorities as the market progresses
- Identifying hurdles or issues within the current sales-process and developing solutions to remove or minimize impact
Meets weekly with Sales Team Leaders to increase sales and efficiency by
- Analyzing reports and dashboards to identify trends and turn data into action items
- Collaborating on strategies using buying lists, sales plays, cadences, upsells, etc.
- Collaborating on action plans for team members struggling to attain quota, submit accurate forecasts, complete needed trainings, etc.
- Providing additional training or coaching on key sales processes and tools
Weekly meeting with Growth Strategy team to compare trends to
- Identify needed strategic or operational changes
- Share successes (cadences, sales plays, training, etc.) for reuse
- Share struggles for feedback/suggestions
Qualifications
To be considered for and to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Proven experience working in improving business processes within a SaaS technology company
- Deep understanding of the sales process, including pipeline development, forecasting, sales cycles and operations
- Proven experience in a sales operation's role within a SaaS or Enterprise technology company
- Experience in K12 and/or Higher Education software preferred Commensurate experience in a different industry with complex sales cycles will be considered
- Excel analytics skills and a demonstrated ability to translate large scale data sets and metrics into predictable business insights using sophisticated formulas, logic, or macro development
- High level of reliability and follow-through skills; immediate responsiveness to all internal inquiries, ability to prioritize under tight deadlines
- Curiosity, a demonstrated bias towards action, and an appetite to innovate
- Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 5 years of operations experience, and 2 of those years focused on analyzing data

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $82,147 – $100,000. The compensation range is specific to the United States and incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
