Job Summary
To provide healthcare workforce educational opportunities for middle, high, and post-secondary students to foster interest in the healthcare workforce sector.
This position is based in Hazard, Kentucky, and will serve the Southeast Kentucky AHEC region.
This is a grant funded position that ends 04/30/2027 with an extension to 2029.

Job Duties
  • Recruits’ students to participate in health careers programming. Provides general guidance to students who need help navigating resources such as academic support services, mentoring and career counseling programs, mental and physical health care services, and financial management services.
  • Plans and provides health careers programming for middle, high, and post-secondary students within the Southeast Kentucky service region.
  • Develop partnerships with public and private schools to carry out identified programming.
  • Evaluates programming for effectiveness and quality.
  • Participate in scheduled meetings that shall include local, statewide, and national travel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience.
