Job Summary/Basic Function
The Honors Program Teaching Assistant supports Honors faculty in the design, preparation, and facilitation of interdisciplinary Honors courses. This role provides an opportunity for students to engage deeply with course material, support peer learning, and contribute to a collaborative, discussion-driven classroom environment.

Working closely with Honors faculty, the Teaching Assistant helps foster the values of curiosity, academic rigor, creative inquiry, and community that define the Honors Program. Ideal candidates are thoughtful, reliable, and excited to support meaningful academic dialogue and student success.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be a current Weber State University student in good academic standing
  • Enrollment in the Honors Program
  • Comfort with technology and adminisitrative tasks
  • Ability to work independently
  • Creativity, enthusiasm, and reliability are essential
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Visual Acuity Requirements including color, depth perception and field of vision. Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading.
The conditions the worker will be subject to in this position. The worker is subject to environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
