Hourly Coordinator, Marketing for Continuing & Professional Studies Full Description

Overview: 
The Marketing Coordinator will serve as a liaison between the College Relations Department and the Continuing and Professional Studies (CPS) Institute to assist in the execution Brookdale’s Strategic Marketing Plan as well as coordinate and develop future campaigns and initiatives to help increase enrollment and awareness for Brookdale’s CPS program offerings. These campaigns will include but not be limited to email campaigns, social media campaigns, and digital marketing campaigns. The Marketing Coordinator will require strong analytical skills that lead to data-driven decisions as well as collaboration with the College Relation’s graphic designers to ensure brand constituency for the various campaigns and help streamline campaign approvals and executions.  

Responsibilities: 
  • Support the Executive Director of College Relations and Executive Director of Continuing and Professional Studies in executing and evaluating the established marketing strategy and plan for CPS. 
 
  • Conduct research to analyze competitive landscape, market trends, and customer behavior.
 
  • Evaluate CPS’ current social media handles and collaborate with College Relation’s Social Media Administrator to ensure the Strategic Social Media strategy is being executed. 
 
  • Communicate campaign deliverables, objectives, and timelines to both the College Relations and CPS teams.
 
  • Work closely with the College Relations team to develop several types of marketing deliverables, including social media posts and email campaigns.
 
  • Monitor and analyze metrics to track the success of marketing campaigns.
 
  • Meet with the CPS Directors to obtain webpage edits and ensure content consistency across the CPS webpages.
 
  • Collaborate with the College Relations designers to create flyers and other marketing needs for CPS programs. 
 
  • Other Duties and Responsibilities as assigned.
 
Qualifications: 
Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Marketing, Communications, or related field. 
 
Experience:
  • Two years of related experience in Marketing and/or Communication.
  • Experience in Higher Education or Program Marketing a plus
  • Experience with WordPress. 
 
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Proven skills working in Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, Constant Contact, and Social Media scheduling platforms such as Sprout Social. 
  • Acute attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Highly organized and know how to set priorities. 
  • Has the ability to multi-task between various campaigns and projects.
  • Understand the Brookdale Community College Brand Guidelines and ensure all campaigns follow brand standards. 
  • Communicate effectively to all stakeholders, including the Executive Director of College Relations, the Executive Director of Continuing and Professional Studies, the Director of Communications, and the Social Media Administrator. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Aptitude for crafting engaging content; Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Must be computer literate with ability to utilize Microsoft Office at an intermediate level and the ability to learn and utilize specific higher education programs and systems.
  • Ability to learn and apply office practices, procedures, policies, and regulations that are essential to the position.
  • Must be available evenings and weekends to cover any social media content for events.
