Position Description
Advertised Job Summary | The Darla Moore School of Business invites applications for the HRBP – HR Coordinator position within the Office of Human Resources. The HRBP – HR Coordinator will coordinate HR functions related to hiring, onboarding, reappointments, and record maintenance. Ensure organizational accuracy and efficiency by initiating and monitoring assigned HR activities. Serve as the first point of contact for departments and business specialists and support HR staff as needed.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience | Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and no prior work experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials |
Preferred Qualifications | Knowledge and understanding of USC HR policies, State of SC HR Regulations and applicable federal HR laws/regulations specific to higher education. Prior experience in cross-functional HR program management.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities | Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle data with confidentiality. Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously. Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to human resources. Ability to analyze requests to determine compliance with policies, procedures and regulations. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers. Must possess the ability to write clearly, accurately, and effectively. Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
Job Duties
Job Duty | Ensures workflow efficiency by serving as the first point of contact for department inquiries and requests; reports, creating/updating organizational charts, EPMS and performance assessments, and other workflow transactions. Maintains HR records and coordinates electronic file management with HR Records and Imaging staff.

Assists with search committee setup, applicant reviewer assignments, and external recruitment platform coordination. Initiates hiring proposals for temporary/adjunct appointments and supports non-US national processes (ISSS). Tracks and monitors onboarding activities, ensuring timely completion.
