https://resources.uta.edu/hr/services/records/compensation-tools.phpJob Summary | The HRIS Business Analyst II willl provide expert-level insight, analysis, maintenance, troubleshooting, and integration of large multi-institution ERP system primarily using Oracle PeopleSoft, Oracle Analytics Cloud tools, and available technical resources; coordinate functional user requirements and advise University on best practices for business process improvement regarding HRIS touchpoints; develop and deploy advanced reporting solutions for analysis and presentation to enhance data-driven business decisions; maintain HRIS technical specifications on internal and external business solutions that meet TCE strategic goals.
The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $95,000. The final offer will be based on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities | Work with functional users in TCE and other business units to identify necessary reports, gather requirements, choose appropriate tool from available tools, create reports, determine delivery methods and schedules, and maintain reports and reporting technical specifications. Available tools will include but are not limited to PS Query, BI Publisher tools, Oracle Analytics Cloud (MARS), SQL Developer, and Microsoft 365 products. Work with functional users in TCE and business units to troubleshoot transactional or configuration issues in ERP system. Troubleshooting will involve use of query and reporting tools, documenting, and testing procedures to ensure desired results, and creation of test plans, procedure documents, and training materials. Documentation shall be maintained over time to reflect actual business practices in accordance with established best practices and TCE strategic goals. Work with technical staff on designing new processes, systems, and configurations to satisfy functional user needs in ERP system. This will involve identifying and documenting business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement through configuration or modification to ERP system, designing modifications, testing modifications, creation of acceptance criteria for end users, and finally maintaining and testing existing modifications over time. Create and maintain HRIS data audit tools for data integrity and consistency. Ensure HRIS business processes are kept up to date with TCE methodologies to meet strategic goals and present findings and recommendations to institution stakeholders for process enhancement and efficiency. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree in human resources, computing, information systems or a related field. 5 years’ experience with Oracle PeopleSoft HCM Management System 9.x or later including experience with reporting tools like PS Query, OBIEE, Oracle Analytics Cloud, and SQL Developer. Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications. Experience working with HRIS transactional data.
Preferred Qualifications | Five (5) or more years HRIS experience in Higher Education. Five (5) or more years’ experience with PeopleSoft FMS, HCM, EPM, CRM, Portal, and/or Campus Solutions (CS) version 9.×. Experience with People Tools 8.5. Experience working with accounting or payroll offices. Ability to communicate effectively and accurately, both verbally and in writing with co-workers, customers, and vendors.
