At Tutor Me Education, we are revolutionizing the way students learn, and we're seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in Stockton, CA! About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Special Education tutor to provide individualized general academic support to a 4th-grade student. The tutor will work in a one-on-one setting and support learning through structured, engaging, and developmentally appropriate instruction.

Details:

  • Competitive pay based on specialization ($25–$35/hour).
  • Tuesdays & Thursdays: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
  • Fridays: 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
  • Consistent weekly availability required
  • Opportunity to add additional sessions in the future
  • Start ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general academic assistance appropriate for an 8th-grade level
  • Implement accommodations, modifications, and support strategies outlined in the IEP
  • Adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs
  • Support engagement, focus, and academic skill development
  • Maintain consistent scheduling and communication
  • Create a structured, supportive, and respectful learning environment

Student Needs:

  • The student is bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Resides in a care home during the week under administrative supervision

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of and comfort implementing IEP-based strategies
  • Experience providing academic support at the middle school level
