KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools  is part of the KIPP national network. In the 2025-2026 school year, the KIPP Jacksonville region will be comprised of four schools educating more than 3,000 students, kindergarten through twelfth grade in the North and West sides of Jacksonville, Florida.
  • KIPP Impact Academy: Kindergarten - 4th grade, 6th - 8th grade 
  • KIPP VOICE Academy: Kindergarten - 8th grade 
  • KIPP Bessie Coleman Academy: Kindergarten - 8th grade 
  • KIPP Bold City High School: 9th - 12th grade

For the current school year, teachers at KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools work the following hours Monday through Friday and may have occasional meetings or special school events outside of these hours. Hours for teachers and students may vary slightly by school.
  • K-8 Staff: 7:30am - 4:30pm K-8 Students: 8:00am - 3:30pm, Wednesday K-8 dismissal is at 1:30pm 
  • High School Staff: 6:45am - 3:45pm, High School Students: 7:15am - 2:30pm, Wednesday High School dismissal is at 12:30pm. 

Every Wednesday is a student early release day, which allows teachers to participate in weekly professional development and content team meetings. *This doesn’t include Wellness Wednesdays when all staff leave at student dismissal.

Job Description
KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools seeks an academic interventionist who will focus on math for 9th - 12th grade students at KIPP Bold City High School. The interventionist focuses on supporting students as an extra layer of support beyond their core academic instruction. The interventionist role includes leading several blocks of intensive math. When the interventionist doesn't have a class, they are pulling small groups, tracking academic progress, ensuring students are accessing blended learning pieces that support their growth, partnering with classroom teachers to ensure student interventions are effective, and other duties as assigned.

All teachers are responsible for creating a positive classroom environment, implementing our curriculum, assessing students, collaborating with their team, building relationships with our families, and other duties as assigned. Full teacher responsibilities are ultimately outlined by their Principal. 
Because the interventionist supports math RtI across multiple grade levels, the model and schedule can vary slightly.

  • Our current starting salary for a first-year lead teacher is $50,000*

*This role will be eligible for instructional stipends like TSIA and Milage - which equated to about $15,000 for NTK employees in the 2023-24 school year. 
***Benefit packages are subject to change each school year. Full terms would be outlined in an offer letter if issued. 

Qualifications
Requirements of the position include:
  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • Relevant Florida Teaching Certification or Equivalent (Math 6-12)
  • At least two years of teaching experience with a proven track record of high achievement in the classroom

Highly Preferred Qualifications

  • Three or more years of teaching experience with a proven track record of high achievement in the classroom
