Oakland University is hiring an Infant/Toddler Director/Teacher to lead the Baby PEACE Infant Toddler Center and Resource Hub. This role involves managing daily operations, implementing curriculum, supervising staff, assessing child development, and collaborating with families and community partners to ensure a nurturing and safe environment.
Highlights
Oversee daily operations of infant/toddler room ensuring safety and developmental appropriateness
Implement curriculum aligned with early childhood standards and trauma-informed practices
Supervise and develop staff, students, and volunteers with ongoing coaching and evaluations
Conduct child development assessments and create individualized support plans
Engage families through communication, resources, and involvement in program activities
Ensure compliance with licensing, health, and safety regulations
Collaborate with Advisory Board for program evaluation and improvements
Required qualifications include coursework eligibility per Michigan MiLEAP, 3+ years infant/toddler experience, associate’s degree or CDA credential with specified semester hours and experience, and current CPR/first aid certification
Preferred qualifications: English and Spanish proficiency, bachelor's degree in early childhood education or child development
Compensation ranges from $17-$25 per hour; position is casual with up to 19 hours per week and no benefits
