Information Technology Support Full Description

Overview:

Responsible for general technical support for students, faculty and staff of the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine/ Imaging School (1000+ users).

Responsibilities:

Responsible for general technical support, to include, but not limited to as much of the following as possible:

  • Administers all smart-podiums, troubleshooting all Audio-Visual issues in lecture halls, labs and classrooms.
  • Respond to service tickets.
  • Performs installation, configuration, deployment and troubleshooting of desktop/laptop computers and peripherals.
  • Administers Print Server and printing management software.
  • Administers E-Mail listserv for faculty, staff and student body.
  • Troubleshoots network (wired and wireless) related issues.
  • Technical support for Medical Simulation Machines.
  • Assists students and instructors with Canvas and clicker issues.
  • Assist students with Exam issues.
  • Troubleshoot Zoom issues.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor of Science preferred.
  • At least 3 years of IT experience required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Demonstrated proficiency in communication (written and verbal) required.
  • Customer service and team orientated required.
  • A high degree of interpersonal competency: Professionalism, diplomacy, judgement and discretion required.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop positive and cooperative relationships with students, faculty and colleagues required.
  • Knowledge of networking, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, TCP/IP.
  • Knowledge of Windows Workstations/Servers, Linux Servers (preferred) and Mac OSX.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.
  • Basic understanding of Audio-Visual equipment.
  • Ability to do internet research as necessary.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift 10 lbs.

Maximum Salary: USD $50,715.00/Yr.

Minimum Salary: USD $40,572.00/Yr.
