Information Technology Technology Support Full Description

Overview: 
Responsible for general technical support for students, faculty, and staff of the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine/ Imaging School (1000+ users). 

Responsibilities: 
Responsible for general technical support, to include, but not limited to as much of the following as possible:
  • Administers all smart-podiums, troubleshooting all Audio-Visual issues in lecture halls, labs, and classrooms
  • Respond to service tickets
  • Performs installation, configuration, deployment and troubleshooting of desktop/laptop computers and peripherals
  • Administers Print Server and printing management software
  • Administers E-Mail listserv for faculty, staff and student body
  • Troubleshoots network (wired and wireless) related issues
  • Technical support for Medical Simulation Machines
  • Assists students and instructors with Canvas and clicker issues
  • Assist students with Exam issues
  • Troubleshoot Zoom issues
  • Other duties as required
 
Qualifications: 
Education/Experience
  • Bachelor of Science preferred.
  • At least 3 years of IT experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communication (written and verbal) required
  • Customer service and team orientated required
  • A high degree of interpersonal competency: professionalism, diplomacy, judgement, and discretion required
  • Demonstrated ability to develop positive and cooperative relationships with students, faculty, and colleagues required
  • Networking, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, TCP/IP
  • Knowledge of Windows Workstations/Servers, Linux Servers (preferred) and Mac OSX.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook
  • Basic understanding of Audio-Visual equipment.

 Maximum Salary: USD $50,000.00/Yr. Minimum Salary: USD $40,000.00/Yr.
