General Job Description: The Inside Sales Assistant is the primary point of contact for three (3) assessment consultants and their customers, providing tailored product recommendations and solutions to meet customer needs. This role generates and converts quotes, processes sales orders, and ensures a seamless sales experience.
The Inside Sales Assistant will conduct in-depth research to support the sales team, analyze findings, and effectively present insights to drive informed decision-making. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
Position Responsibilities:
- Process and manage quote/order entry, fulfillment, and end-to-end order status tracking.
- Maintain timely, transparent, and proactive communication with internal departments to ensure on-time order delivery, including complex shipping procedures based on the customer's needs.
- Lead in-depth customer purchasing research to support business strategy and decision-making.
- Support assessment consultants in converting sales and closing deals.
- Conduct monthly follow-ups on open quotes that have not been converted into sales orders
Position Requirements (Skills, Knowledge, Abilities):
- Proven track record in processing quotes and sales orders within a CRM
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 – Teams, Outlook, Excel, OneDrive
- 2+ years of experience in a customer-focused environment
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail
- The ability to multitask under tight deadlines and a strong sense of urgency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A positive attitude, flexibility, patience, and problem-solving skills are required

Hours: This is a non-exempt position from Monday through Friday. Work hours begin and end between 7:30am and 4:00pm with a ½ hour break for lunch and two rest breaks. Eight hours per day is required and other occasional overtime may be necessary per business needs.
Travel:
10% - This is a hybrid position that will require in-office hours per department business needs.
