Responsibilities

Lead a team to implement high-quality, developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Bright Horizons' philosophy and anti-bias education
Serve as a curriculum expert and use educational quality tools to assess and enhance program implementation
Partner and communicate effectively with families while mentoring new teachers and serving as a role model for the teaching team

Qualifications

CDA with an educational plan to complete an associate degree is required
Associate or higher degree in early childhood education or a child development related field is preferred
At least three years of professional experience teaching in high-quality child care, daycare, or preschool settings is required
Experience working in a NAEYC-accredited center is preferred
Candidates must pass required state and company background checks

Physical Requirements

This role involves a mixture of office/computer/phone-based work, in-person supervision of care delivery and employees throughout the center, family and prospective family interactions, and the ability to temporarily serve as a supervising caregiver for brief periods on an as-needed basis. This position requires in-person work in the Fairfax, VA area.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is between $25.24 and $31.49 per hour. Actual compensation offers within this range depend on experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant factors.
