We fuel our employee’s professional growth at every level, stand committed to the financial well-being of every member and champion the credit union story at every turn.We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Instructional Design Manager, Certifications & Designations to craft comprehensive and impactful instructional materials and experiences specifically tailored to guide individuals towards obtaining coveted certifications, designations and other credentialling within the industry. This role is pivotal in leading the design, development, and maintenance of competencies for the curricula. The position is responsible for driving instructional design projects, providing guidance and support to the event production and meetings teams. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in setting instructional design standards, fostering innovation, and promoting continuous improvement in the online, in person and blended learning environments.

Responsibilities:
Project Management/Instructional Design Process:
·      Lead instructional design projects from inception to completion, including scoping, planning, resource allocation, and delivery. Define project objectives, timelines, and deliverables, and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Work with Director of Certifications and Designations to prepare, administer, adjust, and project a budget and business plan for each assigned program. Responsible for meeting attendance, financial, and educational goals for each program. Continually review expenses and make changes to programs as needed to meet or exceed overall budgets. Recruit, hire and review subject matter experts, work with production specialists, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of instructional design projects. Uphold and maintain instructional design standards, competency models guidelines, and best practices, and ensure that they are consistently applied across educational events. Oversee the development of instructional materials, including course outlines, learning objectives, assessments, and multimedia content. Conduct quality assurance reviews of instructional materials to ensure alignment with instructional design standards and learning objectives.

Instructional Design Strategy:·
      Develop and implement instructional design strategies that align with organizational goals and promote effective learning outcomes. Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in instructional design and educational technology. Stay abreast of changing needs of the credit union industry, identifying new areas for curriculum to be developed and new educational resources to be established. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify learning needs and develop innovative solutions to address them. Collaborate with production team to select and implement appropriate learning technologies, authoring tools, and educational technologies. Work closely with enterprise brand team to ensure that instructional materials are accessible to all learners, including those with disabilities, and adhere to accessibility and enterprise brand standards and guidelines.

Continuous Learning/Onsite Engagement:·
      Responsible for maintaining expertise in adult training techniques; the financial services industry and instructional design, then incorporate this expertise into current programming and/or the creation of new programs. This would include on-going research & development of adult instructional design techniques, reviewing curriculum both inside & outside of the credit union industry, staying current on enterprise initiatives, as well as industry related developments. Responsible for on-site, online, hybrid web-based curricula implementation. Provide speaker feedback and coaching real time. Assist instructors in modifying content and creating exercises/activities as appropriate. Other on-site and online duties may include conference weaving activities, webinar facilitation, conducting student orientation, making faculty introductions/announcements, facilitating student discussions & acting as back-up in case of last-minute faculty cancellations. Serve as Association Services liaison to credit unions and assigned committees.

Stakeholder Engagement:·
      Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, including faculty, subject matter experts, meetings team, enterprise marketing professionals, and other Association Services peers to create proper training environment necessary for assigned events. Create and foster relationships with credit union communities, advisory committees, conference committees and other members of the learning community. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, and promote understanding of instructional design processes and principles.

Requirements:
·      Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Education, Instructional Design, Learning Technologies and/or Adult Education, or the equivalent work experience.
·      5+ years of experience with instructional design & development with applicable knowledge of credit union compliance and operations - gained either through developing related training or through hands-on experience that informs effective learning design.
·      5+ years of experience coordinating in person adult training programs.·
      5+ years of fiscal/budgetary management experience.·
      5+ years of experience in design & delivery of web-based/virtual adult training programs.
·      5+ years of project management experience.
·      Excellent written and verbal communications; a skilled public speaker with demonstrated success delivering effective presentations in front of various audiences; able to influence others in all directions with or without direct authority.
·      Strong understanding of adult learning theory, Blooms taxonomy, and best practices in instructional design.
·      A thorough understanding of the financial services industry and the responsibilities of its officials and staff is required. Strong knowledge of the credit union industry, compliance, and operations. Must be current on issues impacting credit unions.·      Ability to provide constructive feedback and guidance.
·      Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
·      Demonstrated success leading, developing, coaching, and mentoring others, cross functionally.
·      Must be able to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously.
·      Ability to work well/sustain a fast-paced environment.
