Opportunity at a Glance
Industry subject matter experts will teach you, and then you will teach our learners—in just 300 words in the form of text-based learning objects. Topics range from bribery and drug cartels to terrorism and cryptoasset tracing, always with something more to explore. If you are smart and you write well, you should be successful.

Responsibilities

Identify and build relationships with industry Subject Matter Experts
Working with SMEs, identify the KSAs required for success in a specific learner context
Working with SMEs, organize KSAs into efficient, coherent, strategic, and time-based outlines
Guide and coordinate SMEs as they provide content for those outlines
Research as necessary to fill gaps or validate SME content
Edit and convert SME draft into effective learning objects
Build supporting forms, tools, objects, etc., in various authorware platforms
Proofread, audit, and do other quality control
Guide multimedia producer
Guide showrunners
Coordinate product edit reviews, testing, revision
Support archive of courseware, source files, and documentation
Share and teach best practices among coworkers

Qualifications

Fast learner able to learn a completely new-to-you concept after just a few minutes of training from a subject matter expert
Curious, logical thinker who can identify gaps and inconsistencies well enough to ask good follow-up questions to a subject matter expert
Clear, organized writer able to effectively teach someone a concept you just learned
Keen attention to detail, including the ability and willingness to work within fixed constraints
Self-motivated, self-managing with remote supervisor
Available for frequent meetings in the US Eastern time zone
General technical skills and aptitude, being a quick self-learner of all the technology ACAMS uses now (including Xyleme, MS Office, Webex, Monday, SmartSheet, LMS, ReadSpeaker, Salesforce, ACAMS.org, etc.) and in the future
3 years of developing adult learning, process training, business blog posts, etc.
3 years of contacting, securing, and managing external and internal resources
Portfolio available for review by ACAMS

These attributes are a plus:

Experience as a variable-compensated consultant or self-employed
Experience in learning object design—especially discrete and reusable objects
Bachelor’s degree
