Remote Status: Hybrid

C² Technologies, Inc. seeks Instructional Designer to design, develop, and deliver engaging, high-quality instructional materials for technical and professional training programs. The position is classified as onsite/hybrid.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Responsible for designing and developing effective instructional content that supports learning outcomes and aligns with client objectives. Instructional Designers will apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to create engaging learning materials, including computer-based training (CBT), instructor-led content, and performance support tools. This role ensures all instructional materials meet accessibility standards, reflect best practices in instructional design, and contribute to learner success.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDesign and Develop Instructional Content: Create engaging learning materials—including presentations, handouts, CBT modules, and job aids—using established templates, design standards, and authoring tools.Apply Instructional Design Principles: Develop instructional materials grounded in adult learning theory and proven methodologies to ensure clarity, accessibility, and learner engagement.Engage in Proactive Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to share progress, gather feedback, and ensure training products align with strategic goals and operational needs.Manage Project Timelines and Milestones: Support project management by maintaining detailed task plans, tracking milestones, and identifying risks or delays to ensure timely delivery of deliverables.Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs): Partner with SMEs to collect and refine technical content, translating complex concepts into clear, learner-focused instructional materials.Review and Quality Assurance: Conduct content reviews to ensure materials are accurate, consistent, and instructionally sound, incorporating feedback from reviewers and stakeholders.Contribute to Evaluation Efforts: Collect and organize learner feedback and performance data to support evaluation and continuous improvement of training programs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in instructional design.Familiarity with adult learning theory, ADDIE methodology, and instructional technologies.Experience developing technical training programs, with preference for transit environments.Knowledge and application of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2.Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate (Classic and/or New version) and Adobe InDesign.Demonstrated experience conducting working sessions with subject matter experts.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
