Job Description
Kearney and Company is looking for an Instructional Designer to join our team in supporting the Air Force Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Supply program. Qualified candidates must have a strong understanding and experience creating interactive training modules and educational content delivered via computer systems. The Instructional Designer will be responsible for:
  • Developing training materials (such as SoPs, Job Aids, Technical Documents, etc.) using appropriate learning pathways
  • Implementing learning strategies to facilitate overall end-user experience
  • Engagement activities and strategies, such as program initiatives and communications, to align stakeholders and end-users on the program's objectives
  • Work as part of an overall Instructional System Design and Development team to create a variety of curriculum products - with emphasis on computer-based training applications
  • Create detailed storyboards and scripts for training modules
  • Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather information and ensure content accuracy
  • Incorporate multimedia elements such as graphics, audio, and video into training materials
  • Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to improve training modules
  • Update and maintain existing CBT modules to ensure they remain current and effective
  • Use instructional design documents and state-of-the-art tools to develop creative and engaging interactive multimedia instruction products
  • Properly document design and development work in accordance with customer requirements
  • Develop simulations that incorporate elements of scenario learning
  • Bring a strategic and creative designer's mindset to the table by conceptualizing and building a comprehensive and engaging e-learning curriculum

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years experience in instructional development
  • Working experience with Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) including WBT SCORM compliant requirements
  • Working experience with Camtasia and Articulate 360 Storyline
  • Experience with Content Development: Design and develop interactive CBT modules using authoring tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar software
  • Graphic design experience
    • Creative content creation, and a clear vision for the entire learning lifecycle
  • Must possess a Secret clearance

The expected salary range for this position is between $69,000 and $105,000. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses.  Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law.  This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
