Description
We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Course Development Specialist to join our client's Learning &  Development (L& D) Team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, formatting, and reviewing hybrid and asynchronous courses to create engaging and effective learning experiences. Team Structure:
As a Course Development Specialist, you will collaborate closely with the L& D representative and subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop and refine courses. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse hybrid and asynchronous course projects that support the overall learning goals of the organization.

What Does the Day-to-Day Look Like?
  • Course Design and Development:
  • Review research and resources to identify clear learning objectives for course development.
  • Use tools such as Articulate Rise 360 and Storyline to create and enhance courses that align with objectives.
  • Quality Assurance and Engagement:
  • Review and assess existing course content for grammar, readability, and learner engagement.
  • Evaluate and improve knowledge checks to support retention and comprehension.
  • Drafting and Revisions:
  • Draft new content and revise materials based on SME input, internal feedback, and course requirements.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with SMEs and team members to ensure course content is accurate and engaging.
  • Attend weekly or bi-weekly 1-hour calls with the L& D team to discuss updates and progress.

Requirements

Technical Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Articulate Rise 360 and Articulate Storyline.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Basic skills in Adobe applications (Photoshop, Acrobat, etc.).

Top Must-Haves:
  1. Hands-on Expertise: Demonstrated skill in using Articulate Rise 360 and Storyline for course design and development.
  2. Strong Written Communication: Excellent grammar and spelling skills for reviewing and refining course content.
  3. Technical Proficiency: Advanced abilities in Microsoft Office Suite and basic familiarity with Adobe applications.
  4. Collaboration Skills: Experience working with subject matter experts and L& D teams to develop effective learning materials.
  5. Content Development Experience: Ability to draft and revise engaging learning content with a focus on learner needs and objectives.
