THE ROLE
We are looking for a professional Instructional Designer to design and develop hands-on training content in a wide variety of formats (self-paced, VILT). You will work directly with subject matter experts to conduct needs analysis, task analysis, develop learning objectives and design complete training programs, inclusive of assessments and certifications.

WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE
  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer
  • Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs
  • State instructional end goals and create aligned content
  • Visualise and create instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product
  • Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
  • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc)
  • Decide on the criteria used to evaluate the learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments
  • Evolve development practices to constantly improve the learner experience and increase time to value for the organisation
  • Ability to proactively and positively drive change within the organisation
  • LMS expertise from a course/curriculum perspectives
  • Ability to work with the LMS lead/admin to successfully deliver net new and maintained content
  • Lead cross functional projects that result in quicker development approaches, courses that meet the immediate demands of the client base, etc.
  • Ongoing assessment and introduction of new tools, practices to drive quicker development of course materials.
  • Ability to outline education strategy and direction for user learning experiences
  • Ability to take the business strategy and conceptualise the required outcomes needed to deliver on business goals and objectives
  • Develop simulation/demonstrations leveraging tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro,
 
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
  • Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology
  • Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Solid knowledge of course development software (Articulate 360, Camtasia, AI tools) and at least one Learning Management System
  • Experience with HTML, UI/UX design
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
  • Master’s degree preferred in instructional design, educational technology or similar
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute and see projects through completion
  • Excellent adaptability skillset and capacity to work in fast-paced environment
  • Experience with cross functional partnership
  • 4-5 Relevant Years of experience executing on cross functional training programs
