We are seeking an experienced SME to deliver high-impact training in Data skills and AI skills. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise, strong industry experience, and a passion for teaching and mentoring early-career professionals.
• Data pipelines, ETL/ELT, data modeling, orchestration (e.g., Airflow, Prefect).
• Big data ecosystems: Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery.
• Programming: strong Python and SQL; R familiarity is a plus.
• Machine Learning & Deep Learning: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face.
• Generative & Agentic AI: LangChain, LangGraph, Crew.ai.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.
• MLOps practices (model lifecycle, deployment, monitoring).
• Data visualization: Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib.
• Data governance, security, compliance best practices
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and deliver instructor-led and virtual training sessions in Data Engineering and AI Engineering topics
• Teach foundational and advanced concepts, including:
· Data pipeline development, ETL/ELT, data modeling, and orchestration (Airflow, Prefect)
· Big data technologies (Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery)
· Machine learning and deep learning (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face)
· Generative AI and Agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, Langgraph, Crew.ai)
· Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps practices
· Data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib)
· Data governance, security, and compliance best practices
• Develop curriculum, training materials, labs, and assessments aligned to Cognizant’s GenC profiles
• Mentor and coach learners, providing feedback and guidance on technical projects and capstone assignments
• Collaborate with L&D, business unit SMEs, and stakeholders to ensure training meets organizational needs
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in AI and Data Engineering
• Support continuous improvement of training programs through learner feedback and outcome analysis
• Certification in relevant technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, Data Engineering, AI/ML) is a plus

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring attendance in our Cognizant office in Teaneck, NJ or Plano, TX during instructor-led training. Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until March 11,2026.
The annual salary for this position is between $100,000 – $115,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
