The Instructional Designer will be responsible for editing and designing digital ELA curriculum products within the Kiddom platform, as well as developing supplemental resources. The ideal candidate will ensure that both teacher- and student-facing content are optimized for our digital platform. This role reports directly to the Head of Curriculum.

We’re looking for someone with a background in K-12 ELA teaching, instructional design, project management, and a strong willingness to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.

You will...
  • Manually author/edit interactive question types using the Kiddom platform
  • Develop and implement protocols for instructional/graphic design of curriculum-aligned ELA lesson presentations
  • Author/edit supplemental resources aligned to existing ELA curriculum
  • Review content and provide Quality Assurance feedback to Kiddom’s contractor network
  • Align ELA content to state and national standards and develop student-centered learning experiences
What we're looking for...
  • 3–5 years of K–12 ELA classroom teaching experience (upper elementary or secondary preferred)
  • 3+ years of instructional design experience focused on ELA and digital learning
  • Strong understanding of ELA standards such as Common Core or state-specific benchmarks
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Passion for equitable education and empathy for the needs of teachers and students
  • Proficient in using Generative AI tools to enhance instructional design and content development workflows.
  • Experienced with project management platforms such as JIRA and Monday.com to track tasks, timelines, and team collaboration.
  • Skilled in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) for creating, organizing, and sharing curriculum and project documentation.
