Job Description
The position is to retrofit and improve existing "online" courses that do not meet asynchronous standards and build new asynchronous programs from the ground up. The position is key to expanding S&Ts online course offerings to working professionals, community college transfers and non-resident learners who cannot attend in person.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consult with instructors on course design and development for online, blended or web-enabled courses using best practices
- Assist with planning, conducting, and evaluating professional development workshops for instructors
- Analyze the characteristics of existing and emerging technologies and their potential use
- Facilitate or develop instructional materials for online, blended or web-enabled courses
- Assess courses and student feedback to determine if quality guidelines and desired learning outcomes have been met
- Communicate effectively with instructors using visual, oral and written form
- Promote effective integration and best practices for using technology in courses
- Assist facilitation of mid semester feedback review for instructors. Provide best practices as necessary after analyzing the results
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- Possesses conceptual knowledge of theories, practices and procedures within the Educational Support function
- Uses existing procedures to solve standard problems and/or correct standard routine issues
Anticipated Hiring Range
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $18.61 to $26.34 hourly.
Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
