We currently have a very exciting opportunity available with our client for an Instructional Designer in Bellevue, WA. This is a hybrid role, with a need to be able to visit Bellevue office as needed. This position will start off as a 3-month contract with the potential to extend and/or convert.
Our client is looking for an Instructional Designer with UX Design skills to join their AIR Network Training (ANT) team to help develop and build innovative and scalable learning products. In this role, you will leverage Leadership Principles to deliver results for Tier 1 Associates and Operations leaders.
ANT needs tech-savvy professionals who are proficient in Articulate Storyline and design tools like Adobe Illustrator and Animate. You should be comfortable partnering with Software Development Engineers (SDEs) and other technical roles to deliver integrated learning solutions. The ideal candidate will partner with multiple stakeholders and be an active participant in the analysis, build, pilot, launch, maintenance, and versioning process of the product build.
The ability to travel once per quarter, as needed, may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Work with other IDs and UX designers to develop and design learning content using Articulate Storyline 360 and Adobe Creative Suite
- Build instructor-led and self-paced trainings with visually compelling designs
- Utilize needs analysis to identify learning objectives and create engaging, visually appealing content
- Interpret data trends to adjust content and design
- Write clear and concise standard work for ID and UX processes
- Engage with stakeholders to gather understanding of learning objectives and present solutions
- Manage project tasks and milestones within standard project management platform
- Provide well-written monthly updates on content and design progress
- Create animations and illustrations for instructional use
- Follow and contribute to design systems to ensure consistency across content
- Optimize designs for different modalities (desktop, tablet, mobile)
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in instructional technology, educational technology, organizational development, graphic design, visual communication, or related fields
- At least 3+ years of work experience in the field of instructional design or UX design
- 3+ years advanced experience with Articulate Storyline
- Experience developing self-paced eLearning curriculum, storyboards, job aids, online tutorials, and assessments
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of visual design projects including animation
- Expertise in industry-standard design tools, specifically Adobe Illustrator and Animate
- Ability to absorb complex information efficiently and quickly, and explain complex ideas relatively simply to non-experts in a way they can interpret the information
- Capable of managing multi-channel tasks, adjusting priorities in response to scheduled commitments to customers, and resourcing constraints across stakeholder teams
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Past industry experience
- Coding skills – experience developing websites, apps, or other digital products using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and/or other related languages
- Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, performance improvement, project management, or content-specific certifications as appropriate (CPLP, CPT, etc.)
- Project management experience including planning work, managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, time management, and doing whatever it takes to deliver results
- Excellent group facilitation and content delivery skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities
- Ability to influence and partner with different levels of the organization to achieve results
- Experience adhering to and understanding style guides or design systems
- Familiarity with learning or instructional design (for UX designers)
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles
- Experience with user research and testing to inform design decisions
Pay Range:
- The pay range for this position is $52.69 to $57.69 per hour. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This range is subject to change.
