TravisMathew is a premium apparel brand that exists because we seized an opportunity—and we’re inviting you to take yours. Back in 2007, we saw there weren’t many companies whose clothing bridged the gap between performance and lifestyle, so we created our own. Inspired by the sun, surf, and sand of Southern California, we became a leading innovator in lifestyle performance apparel by making clothes for real life—plus working with premium wholesalers, building a leading e-commerce business, and opening retail stores around the world. We invite you to join team TravisMathew.Bring learning to life. Drive performance. Empower people.

Are you passionate about creating learning experiences that truly make an impact? We're looking for an Instructional Designer who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and design innovative, engaging training solutions that elevate performance across the Retail organization. You’ll partner closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to design and deliver high-impact instructor-led (ILT), web-based (WBT), and blended learning programs tailored to a variety of learning styles.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving business challenges through creative learning solutions, and who brings both analytical thinking and instructional expertise to the table.  You’ll be part of a passionate, supportive team that believes in the power of learning to transform performance. If you’re a creative thinker who’s ready to shape how learning happens, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do
  • Conduct learner and performance needs analysis with stakeholders and SMEs to uncover training opportunities and performance gaps.
  • Design scalable, high-quality learning solutions aligned with business goals—across eLearning, ILT, job aids, and more.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Talent Development and Retail Training to deliver learning programs that drive measurable results.
  • Build and maintain engaging, accessible, and outcome-driven content for leadership development, performance improvement, and skills enhancement.
  • Lead end-to-end design and development efforts—from concept through deployment and evaluation.
  • Review and update existing training to ensure it stays relevant, effective, and aligned with best practices.
  • Support the facilitation of training sessions and workshops, as needed.

What You Bring
  • Collaboration Skills: Ability to work closely with stakeholders at all levels—from SMEs to senior leaders—to create impactful training experiences.
  • Instructional Expertise: Experience with adult learning principles, instructional design frameworks (like ADDIE), and blended learning strategies.
  • Problem-Solving: You think strategically and solve performance challenges with creative, data-informed solutions.
  • Project Management: You can juggle multiple priorities and keep projects on track with minimal oversight.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or Lectora; familiar with SCORM and LMS platforms.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Psychology, or a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience designing and developing instructional materials, with a strong preference for experience in a retail environment.
  • Proven ability to manage projects from discovery to delivery.
  • Hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems and eLearning standards.
70,700.00 - 88,400.00 - 106,100.00 USD Annual

If your experience is close to what we're looking for, please consider applying! Experience comes in many forms – skills are transferable, and passion goes a long way. We know that diversity makes for the best problem-solving and creative thinking, which is why we're dedicated to adding new perspectives to the team and encourage everyone to apply.
