Instructional Designer/Trainer Full Description

Overview: 
VTG is looking for an Instructional Designer/Trainer in Chantilly, VA. Responsibilities: 
As an Instructional Designer on our team, you will develop and facilitate in-person, virtual, or asynchronous training content that extends from introductory/overview courses to subject matter expert (SME) deep dives. In this role, you will work with Management and SMEs to 1) determine appropriate learning objectives, 2) design curriculum outline and frameworks to address the learning objectives, 3) manage/oversee the course content creation by working with the respective SMEs or work with Contracts to have access to appropriate SME base to develop content, 4) facilitate/lead course events and 5) review course feedback and capture lessons learned to improve next course offering.

Additionally, beyond the focus on curriculum design and execution you will oversee the maintenance, storing, cataloging and acquiring of artifacts (system and/or component models/replicas, as well as historical documents and references). Where you will work with enterprise historians on directorate verses enterprise ownership of artifacts, and work with team members to design and construct exhibits to display said artifacts.

In this role you will be empowered to tap into your creative thinking and passion for education to deliver training courses with appropriate/achievable learning objectives, while using your interpersonal and management skills to facilitate the development, execution and refinement of course offerings while highlighting the past, present and future of the directorate and enterprise. 

Qualifications: 
TS/SCI with Poly Required
  • Experience developing training material/course offerings
  • Experience with graphic design principles
  • Experience with user-centric interactive designs and digital presentations containing photos, videos, or motion graphics
  • 4+ years doing this type of work
  • Bachelors degree
