What You Can Expect
Design, develop, acquire, and evaluate training programs for Zimmer Global personnel. Lead instructional design and course development projects from beginning analysis phases to final implementation and evaluation. Collaborate closely with internal and external partners to design and deliver effective training solutions within varying content areas for diverse internal and external audiences. Work with vendors and external course providers on course material acquisition and design.

How You'll Create Impact
  • Lead cross-functional teams with varying internal and external customers on multiple instructional design and course development projects with strict deadlines and limited budgets.
  • Lead the design and development of training utilizing multiple delivery methods, including self-study, instructor-led courses, OJT training, web-based training, and blended learning solutions.
  • Accurately analyze training needs and design audience-appropriate and content-appropriate training solutions to effectively meet those needs.
  • Recommend and negotiate with external training vendors to purchase existing training material or course packages.
  • Design and develop effective training solutions for various audiences with a wide variety of backgrounds, responsibilities, and skill levels.
  • Deliver stand-up training and accurately evaluate training effectiveness and assess employee skills, learning, and comprehension.
  • Design and develop effective training solutions within compliance and regulatory requirements and employee job skill requirements.

What Makes You Stand Out
  • Experience in the following training disciplines: needs, audience, and content analysis; curriculum design and development; large scale training implementation; stand-up presentation; presentation design (use of various media); and all levels of training evaluation and learner assessment.  
  • Exposure to Quality System Regulations and ISO requirements, document control systems, learning management systems, and manufacturing processes.  
  • Requires knowledge of computers and applicable software used for office administration and desktop publishing.
  • Knowledge of multimedia development, course design and creation, technical writing, adult learning, familiarity with multiple creative and development software platforms, SCORM standards, and a familiarity with Learning Management Systems.

Your Background
  • B.A. or B.S. required, Advanced Degree preferred in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Educational Technology, or related training or educational field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years relevant work experience.

Travel Expectations
  • 10-20% travel
