Position Summary & Key Responsibilities
As an Instructional Systems Design Team Lead, you'll serve as a task lead for FEMA training revisions or new training development. To be successful in this role, you'll need to excel in four key areas:

  • Project Work: Manage training development projects; produce high-quality deliverables based on contractual requirements, while working within a healthy timeline, budget, and team environment
  • Client Relationship Management: Communicate effectively with clients and provide reliable service to build trusting relationships and align solutions with their needs
  • Subject-Matter Expertise: Apply both training and project management skills to facilitate training development across multiple cadres of SMEs on a variety of topics
  • Leadership and Culture: Manage multiple project team members by aligning expectations, building processes, and ensuring 360-degree feedback that is timely, candid, and supportive

Must-Have Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in professional service delivery; a master's degree may substitute for experience
  • Government contracting experience is required
  • 2+ years of Project Management experience (managing multiple priorities & competing deadlines as well as cross functional teams)
  • 2-4 years of small team's supervisory experience
  • 3-5 years of on-the-ground Instructional systems design experience
  • Excellent communication, writing, and facilitation skills
  • Must reside in one of the following states: AL, CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, IL, MD, MI, MO, NC, NJ, NM, NY, OH, PA, TN, TX
  • Proficiency in MS 365 suite
  • Ability to travel approximately 20%
  • Ability to pass Federal background investigations

Nice-To-Have Qualifications
  • Direct experience with FEMA and/or the FEMA Qualification System
  • Experience developing training using eLearning tools
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Certified Emergency Manager (CEM)
