Overview
Our American Systems Team is seeking a motivated Junior Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) to support the design and development of Computer-Assisted Instruction (CAI) and Interactive Courseware (ICW) for P-8A Poseidon Maritime Patrol Aircraft maintainers. This early-career position contributes to training solutions delivered to the U.S. Navy and Australian allies. The role allows for a hybrid work location (virtual and onsite at our Orlando, FL office) at the discretion of the American Systems Program Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and revise CAI and ICW materials.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to gather, analyze, and organize technical content.
  • Work with Graphic Artists to develop multimedia elements.
  • Apply instructional design principles and adult learning theory to create effective training materials.
  • Follow established style guides, standards, and templates to maintain consistency.
  • Implement feedback from SMEs, QA, and customers to continuously improve courseware.
  • Collaborate with fellow ISDs and cross-functional team members to meet project deliverables.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, English, or related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in instructional design or related content development.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Basic understanding of learning theories and instructional design models such as ADDIE.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Pay Transparency Statement
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $50,000.00/Yr. - USD $55,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
