We are looking for an experienced and creative instructional systems designer to join our team and lead the design and development of engaging and effective learning solutions for Unison's product offerings. 

Unison consultants work directly with clients to understand key elements of client business processes and then work onsite to implement and operate Unison software products and service offerings by performing key tasks. Responsibilities: 
As an instructional systems designer, you will be responsible for: 
  • Conducting needs analysis, defining learning objectives, designing instructional strategies, and selecting appropriate delivery methods (e.g., e-learning, instructor-led, blended, etc.) using adult learning theory and industry best practices 
  • Creating storyboards, scripts, graphics, animations, videos, and other multimedia elements
  • Authoring eLearning courses ensuring SCORM and 508 compliance standards
  • Developing supporting course materials and assets
  • Creating new courses and maintaining existing courses
  • Managing the administration and maintenance of our learning management system (LMS), including uploading courses, assigning learners, tracking progress, generating reports, and troubleshooting issues 
  • Ensuring the learning solutions comply with the Section 508 accessibility standards and follow the best practices for inclusive design 
  • Applying project management principles and tools to plan, execute, monitor, and evaluate learning projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards 
  • Collaborating with cross-functional partners and SMEs to produce high-quality, consistent course materials that support established learning outcomes, and elevate learner competencies.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of learning solutions and providing recommendations for improvement
 
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should have: 
  • At least 2 years of proven experience in instructional systems design, preferably in a corporate or government setting
  • Proficiency in using e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, etc.) and graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Proficiency in graphic design and multimedia tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Camtasia, etc.)
  • Experience in administering and managing an LMS (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, Absorb LMS, etc.)
  • Strong project management and business acumen skills successfully balance multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of Section 508 and accessibility standards and best practices 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams 
  • A portfolio of work samples demonstrating your instructional design, eLearning authoring, multimedia, and graphic design skills
  • A bachelor's degree or higher preferably in instructional design, educational technology, or a related field is a plus
