Joyce University is seeking a tech-savvy, problem-solving Instructional Technologist to join our dynamic learning design team. This is a remote position, offering the flexibility to contribute remotely while supporting our community of learners and educators.  

About the Role  
As an Instructional Technologist, you’ll be the go-to expert for instructional technology support across the University. You’ll manage and respond to internal support tickets, collaborate with IT partners, and work closely with Deans, Program Chairs, faculty, and our learning design team to ensure a seamless, high-quality experience for students and instructors.  

This role isn’t just about troubleshooting—you’ll also play a key part in enhancing how technology is integrated into curriculum and course delivery, keeping our learning systems innovative, user-friendly, and aligned with accreditation standards. And since this position is fully remote, you’ll have the flexibility to make an impact while maintaining balance in your work and personal life.  

What You’ll Do  
  • Provide first-line support for faculty, staff, and students on instructional technology.  
  • Collaborate with academic leaders and the learning design team to integrate technology into courses.  
  • Research and recommend emerging tools and best practices in instructional technology.  
  • Create clear, accessible guides and resources for technology use.  
  • Ensure timely migration and release of course shells each term.  
  • Support IT partners with system-related help desk requests.  
  • Jump in on learning design initiatives during peak periods.  
  • Actively participate in staff meetings, committees, and University events (virtually).

Requirements
What You Bring 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Computer Science, or related field (required)  
  • Master’s in Educational Technology or Learning Design (preferred)  
  • Experience with Windows OS, Excel, LMS platforms, and Office 365 (required)  
  • Experience with Canvas, Respondus, and CampusNexus (preferred)  
  • Strong understanding of educational hardware and software in higher education
