We are currently accepting applications for an Instructional Technologist I.
Job Duties:• Provide technology assistance for Blackboard and basic Microsoft Office tools in person, by phone, MS Teams, and by email for students
• Provide support in e-learning lab space for employees and/or students as needed
• Provide technical support to faculty requests during peak periods and as needed
• Provide assistance with annual course reviews and evaluations
• Assist with course migrations, template imports, and standard documentation edits/updates
• Attend KCTCS Online Learning Peer Team meetings with the director and/or attend when the director is unavailable
• Assist with development/provide support for instructional design
• Assist with document conversion for ADA requirements
• Assist with video recording support and closed captioning
• Offer workshops/trainings
• Create and maintain training documentation
• Create and maintain instructional training and guidance videos
• Maintain and monitor orientation materials for students on Blackboard
• Assist with course evaluation collection and maintenance
• Assist with compliance documentation data collection and requests
• Assisting new faculty with appropriate training in the LMS

Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications:Prefer a candidate with a minimum of two years of experience in instructional design using Blackboard or a similar learning management system.
Additional Skills Requested:This is a twelve-month staff position at 37.5 hours per week. Technology proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Additional technology proficiency in using Microsoft Teams and instructional technology tools.
