Compensation Range:
$63,815.00 - $95,723.00
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE
Supports faculty in the use of instructional technology. Supports the use of the learning management system (LMS) and associated teaching technologies and multimedia tools used in pedagogical activities. Troubleshoots issues with, maintenance of, and integration of tools and technologies into teaching and learning activities. Serves as a technology resource when new technologies are recommended for and/or added to the learning environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provides end-user support by troubleshooting user inquiries on the learning management system, media software, and other software systems used in course management.
- Partners with other teams to troubleshoot issues associated with the tools used within the LMS.
- Researches and makes recommendations for software upgrades or advancements.
- Participates in software systems testing, quality assurance, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Monitors updates and issues associated with the learning management system, as well as technologies supported and integrated within the LMS.
- Executes system and service component upgrades through extensive testing and support and implementation strategies.
- Researches and evaluates proposed software purchases, testing and evaluating systems.
- Implements strategies to develop, support, enhance, and maintain the online delivery of education.
- Develops processes and procedures for support of the LMS.
- Participates in sessions with key stakeholders to understand needs and identify knowledge gaps.
- Assists in writing and editing instructional materials.
- Partners with faculty, staff, and IT support teams to develop and implement technology-related solutions and associated training videos and documents.
- Translates instructional design into solutions.
- Supports, advocates for, and expands online course development, use of the LMS, content management system, and online learning software.
- Instructs users on the operation of online and mobile learning technologies, including but not limited to, learning management software, multimedia applications, and communication tools through online learning modules, workshops, or consultation.
- Correlates pedagogical best practices with available tools and informs instructors of options.
- Promotes, pilots, and supports new technologies for instruction.
- Maintains knowledge of internet and educational technologies, both software and hardware.
- Participates in training and other professional development activities.
- Stays abreast of industry trends.
- Participates in the hiring process for new staff.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience required
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in higher education field preferred
