Who we’re looking for:
We are seeking a iOS Senior Software Engineer who will work with our customers and your teammates from product, engineering, design, sales, and marketing to ensure we build the right thing as quickly and as simply as possible. You will both teach and learn from your teammates as you seek to understand their challenges, needs, and expertise as you work with them to ship new features every sprint. You will do a little bit of everything - design, code, test, deploy, debug, find and fix bugs, reduce costs, secure our systems, run projects, document challenges, improve processes, and be a trustworthy member of our team.

Most importantly, you’re someone who shares in our passion for improving the lives of students through communication. 

This role will include:
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to deliver value for our end users and ship new features in the ParentSquare iOS app
  • Maintain the Remind iOS app with your team members
  • Design, break down, release, and lead projects that serve the educators and parents who rely on ParentSquare every day
  • Collaborate with peers in the engineering org to continuously improve the cost, security, scalability, and maintainability of the overall ParentSquare ecosystem
  • Work towards operational excellence by identifying and fixing bugs, reviewing your peers’ code, monitoring and optimizing iOS performance, and debugging systems when faults arise
  • Have clear communication and a bias toward collaboration and action
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to other engineers

Our ideal candidate will have the following:
  • Experience with Objective-C, Swift, SwiftUI
  • Familiarity with Fastlane tools and CircleCI
  • Experience integrating REST/GraphQL APIs
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems (Computer Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Management Information Systems, etc.), or related field.
  • Familiarity with incremental, agile development processes, as well as CI/CD
  • Familiarity with using AI and agentic programming in day-to-day tasks (Gemini, Cursor, GitHub Copilot)
