Job Summary
The IT Helpdesk Coordinator II assists with the technical troubleshooting and documentation for customers in order to support the mission of the institution through technology. This position is located on the Pineville campus but also requires travel to the Knox campus. The expected start date is January 2026.
Job Duties:
• Perform basic and advanced troubleshooting for computers, laptops, VOIP phones, printers, and projector hardware/software.
• Help maintain a stable and secure network environment by making sure all computers are patched with Microsoft updates on a regular basis.
• Check that labs are functional throughout the week so downtime will be minimized.
• Install images using SCCM that are used for computer units in the labs, mobile carts, and offices as needed per PC.
• Ensure that computers are up to date with the newest software updates as needed.
• Assist faculty, staff, and students with computer hardware/software related issues.
• Provide technical support for all Southeast District with account information and assist with password and MFA resets as needed for all Southeast faculty, staff, and students.
• Ensure that units are updated and functional for all Microsoft Teams meetings/classes to be connected by or ahead of scheduled start time. Provide any technical support needed for faculty, staff, and students to be able to attend meetings or classes.
• Assist with any training as needed for all SKCTC personnel and students on how to use the technology.
• Assist campuses with any technology needs that arise, either by in person visits, phone, or remote access.
• Travel to assist other SKCTC campuses with problems, upgrades, and training as needed. Willing to assist where needed to help the IT team meet needs or achieve goals.
• Assist students or employees from other campuses with password resets, MFA issues, or any other technical issues when calls are made to the SKCTC Helpdesk.
• Ensure all desktop computers and laptops have the latest OS installed and are updated regularly.
• VLAN Standardization (systemwide changes) in preparation of upcoming change from CISCO switches to Juniper switches.
• Color code patch cables
Minimum Qualifications:Associates Degree and 1-3 years relevant experience.
