IT Procurement & Operations Administrator Full Description

Position Summary: 
The IT Procurement & Operations Administrator ensures standards and best practices in managing Tandon IT hardware and software procurement. Responsible for ordering, purchasing, receiving, setting up, and deploying new systems. Manages asset tagging and inventory procedures. Monitors warranties and equipment lifecycle to ensure optimal planning and utilization of computing resources. Ensures protocols for wiping and recycling old systems. Manages contract negotiations, set-up and renewals. Develops, communicates and educates IT procurement procedures and standards to the Tandon community. Provides consultative guidance to departments on hardware and software purchases. 

Qualifications: 
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Required Experience:
2+ years Strong knowledge of the computing landscape, vendors, technologies and equipment. Experience managing budgets and expenses and supervising staff. Proven experience as an IT Security or Systems Administrator or in a similar role, with expertise in Windows, Mac, and Linux environments. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of information security standards and practices. Experience with risk & compliance auditing and assessments. Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills. Ability to conduct presentations and clearly articulate technical advice to a non-technical audience. Highly self-motivated and directed. 

Additional Information: 
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $72,000.00 to USD $88,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
