IT Support Specialist Full Description

Overview:

This role provides technical support to ensure the smooth operation of IT and audio-visual (AV) systems within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for general day to date support, to include, but not limited to as much of the following as possible:

  • Assist in setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network systems
  • Provide first-line technical support for end-users, addressing issues with computers, printers, and mobile devices
  • Perform basic system updates, installations, and configurations
  • Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of AV equipment such as projectors, microphones, speakers, and video conferencing systems
  • Support live events, including meetings, webinars, and presentations, ensuring AV equipment functions seamlessly
  • Troubleshoot and resolve AV issues during events or regular operations
  • Maintain accurate records of IT and AV equipment inventory
  • Document and track support tickets, solutions, and system changes
  • Report recurring technical issues and suggest potential improvements
  • Work closely with senior IT staff to learn and grow technical skills
  • Provide basic IT and AV training to end-users as needed

Qualifications:

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years' experience required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Requirements:
    • Basic knowledge of IT hardware, software, and networking.
    • Familiarity with audio-visual technology, including common AV setups and troubleshooting techniques.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Preferred Skills:
