Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
  • Experience installing, administering, and supporting computers in a multi-user environment
  • Experience providing advanced-level technical guidance to end-users in a courteous and knowledgeable manner
  • Experience managing endpoints and users utilizing modern management platforms (e.g., Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Active Directory, or Jamf).
  • Demonstrated customer relationship skills, including ability to perform multiple tasks with frequent interruption
  • Ability to transport up to 50 lbs of IT equipment
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) certification or eligibility to acquire certification within the first 90 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and ability to work independently with minimal supervision, taking initiative to prioritize and resolve issues effectively.
  • Strong technical agility with a proven ability to rapidly learn, adapt to, and implement new technologies on the job.
  • Experience supporting IT infrastructure within a higher education or similar complex organizational environment (preferred, but not required).
  • Proven troubleshooting skills using logical thought processes and strategic thinking
  • Experience installing and supporting network printers in a multi-user environment
  • Experience using a support ticketing system
  • Experience technically supporting and effectively prioritizing projects for executive level stakeholders in an academic environment
  • Understanding of network infrastructure and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with ITIL Foundations and Change Management basics
  • Understanding of IT security protocols and remediation techniques
  • Experience distributing software in an enterprise environment
  • Experience technically supporting a police department or other law enforcement agency
  • Experience with Group Policy Management
Job Description
The Client Solutions department, as part of the IT Assistance Center (ITAC), seeks a technical professional to assist with the day-to-day support of university owned technical resources. The qualified candidate will perform various technical support tasks including installing, troubleshooting, and supporting computing hardware, operating systems, software applications, and peripherals. Requires excellent communication skills, the ability to exercise tact and diplomacy when working with customers, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Job Duties
  • Install hardware, software, and peripherals
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on Windows and Apple desktop systems
  • Provide technical support via email, chat, remote session or in person
  • Work closely with back-office teams when necessary to ensure technical issues are resolved
  • Provision and deploy operating systems and endpoint management profiles to university devices.
  • Maintain and administer computing resources specific to supported departments
  • Assist with inventory management of computing hardware within supported departments
  • Document internal practices and policies to ensure a robust team knowledge base
