The College of Agriculture is hiring an IT Support Specialist II to provide advanced technical support and infrastructure management for faculty, staff, researchers, and students. This role involves troubleshooting complex IT issues, managing research computing environments, supporting cybersecurity protocols, and delivering training and documentation within academic and research settings.
Highlights
Provide advanced support across general IT, research computing, laboratory, classroom, and audio/visual technologies
Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating systems, network, and security issues
Administer macOS and Windows environments, including Microsoft Intune Endpoint Management
Manage server, storage systems, and specialized research data workflows
Implement cybersecurity practices and maintain secure data storage and backup solutions
Develop technical documentation and deliver IT training for users
Collaborate with information security teams to ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory standards
Minimum qualification: High school diploma and two years relevant experience; preferred: Bachelor's degree and three-plus years technical support experience
Experience with scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python), storage technologies (iSCSI, NAS, SAN), and research data management
