IT Systems Administrator Full Description

Position Summary: 
The IT Systems Administrator will provide technical support in the design, development, installation and maintenance of hardware and software and ensures the efficient operation of key technology systems, including Windows, Mac, and Linux environments. This position collaborate with departments to provide integrated support and solutions, train and educate users on best approaches for using technology resources and tools, and implement best practices to continually improve the support and management of technology resources. This role will support other Tandon IT roles including Asset/Inventory Management and Security to ensure a support lifecycle. 

Qualifications: 
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Required Experience:
2+ years Proven experience as an IT Systems Administrator or in a similar role, with expertise in Windows, Mac, and Linux environments, supervision, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Experience:
1+ years System Administration tools (e.g., HCL BigFix, VMware Workspace One, Ansible Tower) 1+ years Multiple Scripting Languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.) 1+ years Experience with ghosting and other imaging tools

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of information security standards and practices. Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and planning skills. Demonstrated ability to quickly diagnose and resolve critical system issues, maintaining high system uptime and reliability. Ability to conduct presentations and clearly articulate technical advice to a non-technical audience. Highly self-motivated and directed. Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

Additional Information: 
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $72,000.00 to USD $88,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
