Description of Work | Assist in assuring continuous availability of University of Nebraska systems and associated applications within the infrastructure portfolio, including on-premise, cloud, and third-party hosted solutions. Implement and manage servers and applications. Will work closely with other specialists to troubleshoot problems, monitor services, and ensure performance, capacity and uptime meet University service level agreements within a 24×7 operation. Requires regular interaction with other networking, systems, and telecom professionals in the delivery of services and with end-users to provide tier-II and tier-III support.

Minimum Required Qualifications | Two years post-secondary education; required
One year of experience with desktop and/or helpdesk support; required
Thorough knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems, software, application administration, and hardware; requiredExperience with direct customer support in face-to-face and/or remotely; requiredStrong communication skills, both written and oral; requiredAbility to work cooperatively and autonomously on tasks and projects; requiredAbility to multi-task and manage competing priorities and duties; requiredStrong organizational skills; required
