Junior Programmer Full Description

Job Summary
This position supports the Technology in Medical Education group in the College of Medicine. The Jr. Programmer works closely with the Senior Software Developer to create and maintain web-based applications and web sites that are critical to the educational activities of students, faculty, and professional staff.

Essential Functions
  • Routinely communicate with other team members concerning project task status, deadlines, and constraints
  • Build, test, and maintain websites/applications using appropriate web development standards
  • Participate in ongoing team meetings
  • Provide technical support to students, faculty, and professional staff (tickets, walk-ins, etc.)
  • Clearly document all work; maintain code version control
  • Other duties as Assigned 

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree. 
  • Minimum of 2 years of applicable experience
  • Proficient in HTML5, CSS (Bootstrap and/or Google Materialize), JavaScript/TypeScript, JSON, Microsoft ASP.NET Technology (Web Forms Framework and/or MVC Core), SQL

Preferred Qualifications
  • B. S in Computer Science or Software Engineering
  • Web Development
  • Full stack development, Net Core, C#, Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, knowledgeable in emerging technologies (e.g., artificial intelligence)

Additional Information
This is a Part-Time per diem position classified as Non-Exempt. The offered pay is based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
