Job Description
Position Overview
The KIPP NYC Information Technology Associate (ITA) is an essential full-time hourly role on the Technology Team that provides daily support to KIPP NYC schools. While onsite, the IT Associate will be responsible for resolving end-user technical support requests related to Chromebooks, laptops, desktops, projectors, and software with an emphasis on supporting end-user needs. Additionally, the IT Associate will assist with project implementation such as new staff onboarding, school start-up, new equipment preparation as needed. The KIPP NYC Technology team is committed to delivering a high level of customer service, working collaboratively with stakeholders to solve problems and capture new opportunities, and engaging in professional development for self-development.

General Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support KIPP NYC sites according to both immediate and planned technology needs
  • Work directly with the School Staff and the Regional Tech Team to identify, prioritize and resolve technology issues impacting staff and/or student work systems including, but not limited to:
    • ChromeOS
    • Windows 
    • Apple OS/iOS
    • Network connectivity 
    • User account management and authentication 
    • Software installation, access,  configuration and use 
    • Printing 
    • Hardware (Chromebook, laptop, document cameras, projectors, speakers)
    • Telephony  
    • Diagnostic systems
    • Track all end-user help desk needs in ticketing system; maintains accurate time spent, notes and other documentation in ticketing system 
  • Resolve issues within SLA limits 
  • Travel to school sites during week to complete support work, interact with staff, and perform routine maintenance, as well as ability to work outside of typical school hours and weekend assignments on occasion.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for warranty, repairs and installations
  • Schedule courier service, shipping and equipment delivery as needed
  • Manage and track physical inventory of tech equipment at school and office sites
  • Initiates and supports various projects such as school year transition work, school start up, and staff PD

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required. Current college/graduate students are encouraged to apply.
  • One or more years of working in technology support. Familiarity with web languages, scripting and process automation, system administration, and hands-on computer hardware repair, preferred
  • Proven experience providing excellent customer service and support for end user technology needs 
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills and the ability to work with various stakeholders 
  • Spanish or French speaking, a plus

Compensation & Benefits:
KIPP NYC offers a competitive hourly rate of $25-$35 per hour for this role.
