Job Description

Motivated by bridging security strategies with domain execution? - Then come play a meaningful role in aligning Digital Security, Cluster Leadership and Product Teams. Ensuring security initiatives are embedded effectively and prioritized appropriately within engineering and infrastructure environments.

Core Responsibilities

The Lead Cyber Security Steward will be encouraged to build a positive relationship with the Digital Security team to measure and validate compliance status and evidence efficiently. Likewise, they should be able to build highly positive relationships with a variety of engineering teams.

Engagement with Leadership - Concisely delivers impactful updates and drives strong alignment with cluster leadership, particularly Engineering Directors and Principal Engineers, to ensure security initiatives receive the necessary priority, support and resources.

Support for Product Teams - The Security Partner will set expectations for product teams to implement strong security controls into code/workflows and collaborate on resolving issues in a timely fashion.

Progress and Challenges Updates - Regularly report to both Security and Cluster audiences on security controls and highlight progress and challenges faced. Clearly articulate aligned dates, risks, delays.

Integration into Engineering Workflows - Support the embedding of security controls and guardrails into engineering pipelines and architectures. Be able to work across a wide range of engineering teams and architectures to ensure clear outcomes.

Sharing Best Practices - Promote security awareness by sharing lessons learned, industry standard methodologies and success stories across the Security partner community and product teams/subdomains.

Join the Data Office cluster and act as the main liaison between Digital Security, Cluster Leadership, and Product Teams to ensure security initiatives are effective, proportionate, and aligned with business priorities. Appointed by the cluster head, you report directly to cluster leadership, with a strong functional connection with the central Digital Security Team and other Lead Cybersecurity Stewards. This reporting line is interim and could evolve.

The role bridges strategic objectives and technical execution, aligning security priorities with primarily organizational cluster goals and advocating for appropriate prioritization and resources. The role emphasizes oversight, advisory support, and proactive engagement rather than direct ownership of security operations.

Success in the role requires strong security and technology acumen, partner management and the ability to guide teams toward secure-by-design outcomes.

This position will be in our new LEGO® Campus office in Billund or in our LEGO® Hub in Copenhagen, soon moving to Postbyen, offering an exciting, inspiring, and flexible work environment - "and a little fun play as well!"

Do you have what it takes?

The ideal candidate may come from various educational backgrounds. But importantly, having a deep knowledge in cybersecurity principles, threat modelling, and security architecture is critical to support mentorship for product teams and technical decision-making. Understands modern development languages such as Typescript and Python. Well versed in CI/CD methodologies and cloud hosting such as AWS - and some knowledge about IT infrastructure.

  • Communication Skills: Ability to clearly articulate complex security concepts, situations and priorities to technical product teams, product management and leadership audiences.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to build trust and foster cooperation across multiple functions and teams within the organization.
  • Problem-solving and Adaptability: Key skills for identifying security challenges and adapting to evolving threats with practical solutions.
  • Resilient and Thrives in High Stress Situations: This role has the potential to deal with high stress situations impacting on our business and technical teams. The successful candidate would have to be an excellent leader under stress and highly resilient in adverse situations.
