Job Summary 
Leads the processing and maintenance of state and federal financial aid systems, ensuring accurate data exchange with internal and external agencies. Manages system processes, monitors status, resolves errors, and maintains documentation. Ensures compliance with financial aid regulations by analyzing policy changes and adjusting procedures as needed. Develops queries and reports for institutional, state, and federal reporting. Coordinates the Federal Work-Study program in collaboration with Career Services, ensuring compliance and accurate tracking of student employment and earnings. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications 
Bachelor’s degree preferably in information systems or related field. Two (2) years of experience in a student administration office or financial aid experience or systems administration in an educational setting. Experience querying databases with tools such as Access.

Preferred Qualifications  | Master’s degree preferably in computer science or related field. Three (3) years of experience with a financial aid system in a higher education setting. Experience working with financial aid systems such as PowerFaids financial aid system, Edconnect, Common Origination & Disbursement (COD) and PeopleSoft Student Administration Module. Experience with relational database tools.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)  | Knowledge of the federal student aid programs, federal compliance requirements, and federal regulatory workflow implications. Strong problem solving, organizational and analytical skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills, and decision-making abilities. Strong interpersonal skills and have a “Customer Focus” attitude and delivery. Ability to work effectively within a diverse campus community. Ability to build and maintain professional relationships, work as an individual contributor, and an effective team player. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
